          Ask for honest feedback and take steps to make improvements.

          Don’t resent helpful criticism, welcome them.

* Maintain high standards and a good work output

               People who get things done quickly and efficiently are the ones who get promoted.

               Be honest and helpful in all your work.

* Build good relationships and alliances

               Join staff groups and organisations and make an effort to strengthen both your social and business networks.

* Continually learn new skills

               Keep upgrading your skills, qualifications and make the most of all relevant training opportunities.

               Accept new responsibilities when they become available.
