BROCHURES –
If you have a product to sell, or a service to offer, you will probably need a brochure to give information about it and to tell readers how to obtain it.
Brochures take the form of booklets, pamphlets or leaflets.
- Before you start planning a brochure you must know who’s your target audience?
- Who are you aiming to reach, with what message?
- How are you planning to distribute your brochures?
These decisions are easier said than done but they are essential to produce a valuable brochure.
A Handful of tips to help you produce a successful brochure
* First get attention
Make it eye-catching. Use bold strong colours making it easy to read. Colours attract attention but beware of colour blind people – select with care.
Employ a good designer after you are clear what you are wanting to achieve.
* State your message clearly and concisely
You need a persuasive message!
Use simple words and remove any surplus words not needed to get your message across.
* Emphasise the benefits
Why should readers act on your message? What’s in it for them?
Make sure your benefits stand out!
To give credibility to your claims quote testimonials from satisfied customers or from well-known people.
