       A new job is a new challenge. Look at new opportunities with enthusiasm to tackle new tasks and to acquire new skills.

       An enjoyable job is worth more than a higher paying stressful one.

       Don’t live in the past. Keep looking ahead to the future and seek work you enjoy.

       Nothing ventured nothing gained!

A handful of tips to help you on the way in a new job

* Time for a self – appraisal

      Try to conduct an honest self-appraisal of your work style and your people skills. It’s a great chance to start afresh.

* Be decisive

     Embrace uncertainty wholeheartedly.

       Stop asking for reassurance.

       Make an effort to improve your confidence.

* Practise common courtesies

     Show respect for others.

       Do not interrupt people.

       Never embarrass others.

       Give credit where credit is due.

* Broaden Your Horizons

     Enjoy the new experiences.

        Seek training opportunities.

       Consider upgrading your skills with some extra studying.  

* Find a mentor

     Get an experienced person to guide you on your way.

       First get to know the corporate culture.

        Know when to stop talking and when to listen.

       Keep asking questions.

A new job can be a chance to start afresh, to meet new people and to learn new skills.
