Training Great TEAMS – Rolling On 27

Training great TEAMS –

        To build strong teams every effort should be made to constantly improve all activities – all the time.

        Sound training is the catalyst to a successful business.

        Managers and people leaders must have a strong coaching role to develop stronger teams and to help people reach their full work potential.

A handful of tips to help you build stronger teams

* Establish a good rapport

        Good leaders make a special effort to establish trust and rapport with their people.

        One of the most important jobs is to spend time chatting to them and to clients.

        Carrying out this role it is essential to develop good questioning and listening skills.

        It is desirable to have a good personal- assistant to give you the time to carry out these important tasks.

        Delegate some of your more time-consuming activities to others.

        Make sure you get your priorities right.         Don’t waste your time on non-essential activities.

* Arrange for systematic training and coaching

        This can often be done by challenging people to carry out special assignments or by moving them around the organization to gain wider experiences.

        Challenge people with graduated step-by-step experiences, This will build up their confidence.

        Try to make coaching an enjoyable experience.

        Lecturing to people can be a waste of time but workshops are well worthwhile.

* Good feedback is essential

        Give regular feedback and helpful constructive reports on their progress. Also, get feedback from the people you are training and coaching.

* Reward effort and achievements

         Praise good work by encouraging people to improve.

        By giving people praise and rewards when each step has been completed they will gain satisfaction.

        Returns from learning should lead to more earnings.

* New skills learned must be used

        As soon as possible make use of new skills learned. People become frustrated if their new skills are not used.

        Encourage with praise, build confidence with graduated experiences.  Give honest and constructive feedback.

        You will be rewarded if you put these recommendations into practice.

        Increased business profits are the rewards of sound training and coaching.
