Enjoy LIFE – Rolling On 36

Enjoy LIFE –

        Today’s world is a mess. It’s overpopulated and it’s heating up. New diseases are causing havoc.

        Countries are still fighting and we have the threat of nuclear wars.

         Many people are under pressure to forget how to relax and enjoy life.  They worry about things that they cannot see, and things that just might happen, but may never happen.

         A relaxed approach can add years to your life.

        We all want to be well-fed and comfortably housed.

        We all want security in our lives. We want to feel wanted, loved by our family, appreciated by our friends, and popular with our peers.

A handful of tips to help you relax and enjoy your life more

* Get organized

        Learn the skills of good time management.

Plan your work, hobby, family, and fun times.

        Plan your days better.

        Everyone likes to have a job where they are appreciated and are making a worthwhile contribution.  Get yourself a job you enjoy.

        Learn to switch off your cell phone at specific times. Enjoy your family and social events. Try to return to work fresh and rearing to go.

* Relax more

        Make more time for the things you enjoy doing. Don’t take life too seriously. Have some fun! If necessary change jobs. Find one you really enjoy.

        Make a list of the activities you enjoy – the things you would like to do but haven’t got around to doing. Prioritize your list, select your top choices and start.

* Enjoy hobbies and sports

        Exercise regularly. If you are not an active sportsperson try a low-impact physical activity like yoga, tai chi, or follow a sport you enjoy watching.

        Learn to meditate.

        Go for long walks – get out in the fresh air.

        Buy a pet. If it is a dog take it for walks.

        If you prefer a high-impact sport, join a team activity or take up running, swimming, or cycling. You can pursue these as an individual or collectively in a group.

        Start a collection of unusual things, such as walking sticks or ceramics – whatever you fancy.  You can have fun going to markets, or online hunting for them –  they may turn out to be a good investment.

* Socialise with friends

        Join a gym, a drama club, a choir, a music group, a film club, a gardening club, a church group, or a service club.

* Be creative

        Reorganize your life. Set aside a little time to try a new hobby.

        Learn to paint, play music, cook exotic dishes, grow things,  or just transform your garden.

        Research your family history, write your memoirs, or write a novel.

        There are so many new activities to try. If you are enjoying an activity you will relax and forget the stresses of daily life.

        Life is not a dress rehearsal. It’s the main event – you don’t get another chance.
