It’s never too soon to start saving for your retirement. You may have no say in the matter. Your health may make the call for you, or you may have an accident that limits your ability to work.
Reaching old age is a privilege and much better than the alternative. Plan for a long life and decide to make the most of it.
Retirement is the time in your life to do all the things you have always wanted to do but have never had the time or the opportunity.
It will be a rewarding time if you remain active and still feel you can help others.
Plan early. Set up a superannuation fund to meet your expenses when you have no salary coming in.
The best way to predict your future is to create it.
A Handful of Tips to help you prepare for an enjoyable retirement
* Plan early
Start planning as soon as you start work so if it comes early you are not in a state of shock.
Start practicing thrift or things will drift.
* Work out a budget
Study your superannuation schemes, insurance payments, and household budgets so you will know what your income and living expenses will be.
When you are not working will you be able to live in the style you are accustomed to?
* Keep working
If you are enjoying your job and are still getting job satisfaction, keep working. (I retired from running workshops for Asian managers when I was 82)
* Face the Facts
Retired. No clock. No phone pressure. No stress. NO MONEY!
* What do you do in retirement?
The hardest work in life is being idle.
Make the most of every day. Learn new skills or take up a new hobby.
After retiring many organizations will seek your services if you are prepared to work for nothing. The most satisfying job is helping others. We need to feel wanted.
* Make your dreams come true
Make a bucket list and start to do the things you have dreamed about. It’s never too late to succeed in a worthwhile venture if you believe you can succeed. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

“Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, for all the people you can – for as long as you can.”
