It’s Time To LEAD
During a time of a crisis it’s time to step up and take a leadership role. These are times when leaders are needed.
A good leader inspires and motivates people to go beyond what they thought they could do. They are in demand for top roles. If you are needed, or you are ambitious, make a special effort to improve your skills.
A leader inspires people to raise their performance to higher levels.
The art of leadership consists of getting people to do what you want done because they want to do it.
A handful of tips to improve your leadership skills
* Talk a language that is understood
Become a good communicator.
Keep all messages simple and clear.
Chat to people in the language they fully understand.
English is not the mother tongue of many people these days so use simple basic English.
Keep people right up with developing situations. Tell them what is expected of them and how well they are doing.
* Enthusiasm is contagious
Be passionate about events, about work and be full of enthusiasm about ideas – your ideas and the ideas of others.
* Be a good example
Be a role model, lead by setting a good example, both at work and in the wider community.
Support good causes.
Look after the health and welfare of workers.
Be flexible. Be prepared to turn a blind eye now and then when people make mistakes.
* Learn to delegate
The ability to delegate is the mark of a good leader and indicates trust and faith in others.
Tell people what you want doing, by when and leave them to it.

Thanks Geoff, timely advice.
