To be remembered use a business card.
Today they are essential for a courteous introduction and an invitation to further contact.
Make your card a talking point and a memory jogger for the recipient – be clear, and different.
In Asian countries, it’s a common practice to admire and make a comment on the card you have been given.
A Handful of Tips to produce a memorable card
* Dimensions
The standard size is 9cm x 5.5cm. so it will fit into a common reference file.
Use a quality card printed with a strong typeface in solid colours.
* Contents
Feature your name, your position, your organisation, your addresses, and your role in the organisation.
Some people include a personal photo for easy recognition.
* Qualifications
If you are selling a service include your qualifications, e.g., “M.Sc”, “Ph.D.”.
* Logo
If you have a memorable logo – use it.
Take care your card is not cluttered. Add a sales message, if appropriate.
“We are the best!” “It’s putting right that counts.”
* Be different
Try to be creative and produce a card that is different – make it memorable!
